How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Midland College requires transcripts from schools outside the US to be evaluated by a NACES or AICE member or The Evaluation Company, its recommended service: a general evaluation for high school and a comprehensive or course-by-course one for college, received directly from the agency; it publishes no translation rule of its own.

Midland College's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The translation comes first; the evaluation is something we do not produce.

Midland College at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Midland College asks for an evaluation from a NACES or AICE member or TEC (initial I-20 steps), and WES, a NACES member, accepts a certified translation from a professional translation service (WES rule), as does ECE; TEC, the service Midland recommends, wants a translator certified by ATA. Midland College requirements in detail

Translation

No rule of its own; the evaluation agency needs the translation (International students: initial I-20).

Who may translate

Set by the evaluation agency; see below.

Evaluation

By a NACES or AICE member or The Evaluation Company; high school by the general option, college by the comprehensive or course-by-course option (International students: initial I-20).

Official

Only when received directly from the evaluation agency; transfer credit waits for it (International students: initial I-20).

Deadlines

Fall: July 15; spring: November 15; no summer admission (international packet).

Where it goes

Documents through the International Document Upload Form; the evaluation directly from the agency (International students: initial I-20).

What the evaluation agencies ask for the translation

The Evaluation Company, Midland's recommended service, wants an outside translator certified by the American Translators Association or translates in-house; ask eVerbary for a free quote and say it is for TEC.

With any other NACES or AICE member the rule can be wider: WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator, and ECE accepts any complete, literal translation or translates internally for an $85 waiver.

Pick the right report for each record

Midland asks for two report types: a general evaluation for high school records, and a comprehensive or course-by-course evaluation for college transcripts (International students: initial I-20).

The packet adds that all high school and college transcripts are required, and that paying the evaluator and sending it the information is your responsibility (International student packet (PDF)).

Applications and every document must be complete by July 15 for fall or November 15 for spring.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Midland College that means we translate your records; the general or course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from TEC or a NACES/AICE member.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions
