How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) requires an evaluation from WES or ECE when a major needs your foreign high school transcript, and an evaluation from a NACES-accredited agency to transfer college credits earned abroad.
LCCC's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Translate first, send the translation to the agency with your records, and the agency sends LCCC the evaluation, which we do not produce.

LCCC requirements in detail
Translation
LCCC publishes no translation rule for academic records; its application says all documents must be in English and in US dollars (International student application). The evaluation agency asks for the translation.
High school evaluation
Some majors require an official high school transcript, evaluated by WES or ECE (International student application).
College credit from abroad
An evaluation from a credential agency accredited through NACES, such as WES or ECE (International students).
Who may translate
Timing
Transcript evaluations begin after you are accepted; allow one to two weeks (transfer).
Application
A printed packet with the affidavits of support, mailed to the International Student Advisor (International student application).
When LCCC needs an evaluation
LCCC does not ask every F-1 applicant for an evaluation. Some majors require an official high school transcript, and for those your credentials go to WES or ECE (International student application).
Separately, if you completed college-level credits outside the US and want them applied to your major, an agency accredited through NACES evaluates them; LCCC says these agencies convert degrees, courses and instructional time into the US semester system, and names WES and ECE (International students). Questions go to CreditTransfer@lccc.edu.
The application packet itself is printed and mailed to the International Student Advisor, and every document in it, including bank letters, must be in English and in US dollars (International student application).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
WES requires an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency, does not accept translations made by applicants, and does not translate documents itself; you upload the translation in your WES account (WES).
ECE accepts complete, literal, word-for-word translations in the same format as the original and lets applicants translate their own documents; it also sells an $85 translation waiver under which it translates internally for the evaluation only (ECE).
A certified translation is still useful if you need the same records for other offices.
Need a certified translation for LCCC?

Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcript and diploma, for majors that require it
- University transcripts, for credit evaluation
- Degree certificates
- Bank letters, which must be in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to LCCC
The translation goes to WES or ECE with your records, not to LCCC; the agency then sends its report to LCCC (International students). Completed LCCC credit evaluations are sent to your LCCC email (Transfer to LCCC).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For LCCC that means we translate your records for WES or ECE; the evaluation is ordered by you from the agency after the translation.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does LCCC require a certified translation of my diploma?
LCCC itself publishes no translation rule for academic records (International student application). If your major needs a WES or ECE evaluation, the agency needs the translation: WES from a professional translator (WES).
Which evaluation agency should I use for LCCC?
LCCC names WES and ECE and accepts agencies accredited through NACES for college credit (International students).
Can I translate my own transcript for the evaluation?
Not for WES (WES). ECE allows it if the translation is literal and complete (ECE).
When can LCCC evaluate my foreign credits?
After you have applied and been accepted; allow one to two weeks (Transfer to LCCC).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
