Lawrence Technological University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

WES is its preferred evaluator, with InCred and NACES members also accepted, and that evaluation is something we do not produce.

Lawrence Tech requirements in detail

Translation

A certified translation for transcripts not issued in English (International students).

Who may translate

Official transcripts

Original or attested, sent directly by the issuing institution in a sealed envelope (International students).

First-year

Marks or transcript in English during the final year; final transcripts and completion certificates after graduation; a WES document-by-document evaluation may replace transcripts, and is sometimes required (International students).

Transfer

High school and college records go to WES for a course-by-course evaluation (International students).

Electronic evaluations

LTU receives them from WES, GCS, ECE, Scholaro, The Evaluation Company, IEE and One Earth (International students).

Certified translation, sealed transcripts

Lawrence Tech pairs two rules: the transcript itself must be original or attested and arrive from the issuing institution in a sealed envelope, and if it is not in English a certified translation is required (International students).

First-year applicants can be decided on marks submitted in the final year of school, in English, and send final transcripts and completion certificates after graduation. Translate the completion certificate as well as the marks.

When WES replaces the transcript

First-year applicants may submit a WES document-by-document evaluation in place of transcripts, and the Office of Admissions sometimes requires one; transfers send both high school and college records to WES for a course-by-course evaluation (International students).

WES wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not translate, so one certified eVerbary translation can serve LTU and WES. LTU also accepts InCred and NACES members.

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Lawrence Tech

  • Your school sends the sealed official transcript; send the certified translation with your application to the LTU Office of Admissions, admissions@ltu.edu (International students). Evaluations come electronically from the agency.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Lawrence Tech that means we translate your records; the WES, InCred or NACES evaluation comes from the agency.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Who can translate my transcripts for Lawrence Tech?

LTU requires a certified translation and does not say who must make it (International students). A certified translation from a professional service qualifies.

Can a WES evaluation replace my transcripts?

For first-year applicants, a WES document-by-document evaluation may be submitted in place of transcripts (International students).

Which evaluators does LTU accept?

WES is preferred; InCred and NACES members are accepted (International students).

What makes a transcript official at LTU?

Original or attested, sent by the issuing institution in a sealed envelope (International students).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
