How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Lamar State College Orange requires international applicants to have a course-by-course evaluation of all secondary and post-secondary work sent directly by a recognized US evaluation company accredited by AICE or NACES; it has no internal evaluation service and does not need the transcripts themselves.

LSCO's evaluation agencies, such as WES, ECE and FCSA, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

You send the translation to the agency with your records; the evaluation is something we do not produce.

LSCO at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

LSCO asks for a course-by-course evaluation from an AICE or NACES member (international students), and WES, a NACES member, accepts a certified translation from a professional translation service (WES rule), as do ECE and FCSA. Policy checked on October 26, 2026.

LSCO requirements in detail

Translation

Foreign transcripts translated and evaluated for authentication through a recognized US evaluation company; the agency sets the translation rule (International students: how to apply).

Who may translate

Set by the evaluation agency; see below.

Evaluation

Course-by-course, of all secondary and post-secondary work, sent directly by the agency; LSCO has no internal evaluation service (International students: how to apply).

Agencies

A recognized US evaluation company accredited by AICE or NACES (International students: how to apply).

Delivery

By email to Admissions@lsco.edu or mail to Admissions, 410 Front Street, Orange, Texas 77630 (International students: how to apply).

Transfers

From a non-US institution, 0-48 credit hours: translated and evaluated transcripts plus TOEFL or IELTS; from a US college, transcripts by credit-hour band (International students: how to apply).

What the evaluation agencies ask for the translation

LSCO accepts any AICE or NACES member, so the agency's own rule applies. WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not translate documents itself.

ECE accepts any complete, literal translation, including your own, or translates internally for an $85 waiver. FCSA, in Austin, accepts certified translations from most professional agencies.

Some members accept only ATA-certified translators; for those, ask eVerbary for a free quote.

The agency report is your transcript

LSCO says plainly that it does not evaluate foreign records and that you do not need to send official transcripts to its office: the agency's course-by-course report of all secondary and post-secondary work is what it reads (International students: how to apply).

Translate every year of secondary school records and each college transcript before you open the agency file.

LSCO has open admissions and processes the application within 24 hours, so the evaluation is usually the step that sets your start date.

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to LSCO

  • The translation goes to the agency with your records; the agency sends the course-by-course report to Admissions@lsco.edu or by mail to LSCO Admissions (International students: how to apply).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For LSCO that means we translate your records; the course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from an AICE or NACES member.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
