A translation and an evaluation for every transcript

HPU asks undergraduates for two things per transcript: a certified English translation and a curriculum evaluation, and it lists WES, ECE, IEE and The Evaluation Company as the companies it recommends for translation and course-by-course evaluation (international admissions).

The international FAQ adds that the secondary school transcript, and the college transcript for transfers, must be formally evaluated by an outside company (FAQ for international students).

WES accepts a word-for-word translation by a professional translator or service, not by the applicant; ECE accepts complete, word-for-word translations, even your own; The Evaluation Company accepts outside translations only from ATA-certified translators, which eVerbary can assign on request through a free quote.

Graduate applicants: the evaluation carries the translation

The Norcross Graduate School wants a detailed credential evaluation for all college work outside the US, showing the English translation of courses, grades, GPA and degree equivalency, sent directly by the evaluation service (graduate international admissions).

For Business, Communication and Education, the evaluator must be a NACES member, the course-by-course report must arrive sealed or electronically secure at Graduate Admissions, One University Parkway, High Point, NC 27268, and it should be no older than two years. Health sciences programs set their own instructions.

Official transcripts, diplomas and marksheets are asked for only after admission, before you matriculate (Graduate admissions for international candidates), so a certified translation of the degree certificate and marksheets is worth having ready at that point too.

Uploading the translation to HPU

• Apply through the Common Application and send official transcripts with their certified translations and the evaluation to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at HPU (International admissions).
