How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

College of Coastal Georgia asks international freshmen and transfers for official translated and evaluated transcripts by an AICE or NACES member: a document-by-document evaluation with GPA for high school and a course-by-course evaluation with GPA for college.

Coastal Georgia's evaluation agencies, such as WES, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary; The Evaluation Company asks for an ATA-certified translator, whom eVerbary can assign on request.

You order the translation first and send it to the agency; the evaluation itself is something we do not provide.

Coastal Georgia requirements in detail

Translation

Official translated and evaluated transcripts by an AICE or NACES member organization (International student requirements). The translation is what the agency needs before it can evaluate a document not in English.

Who may translate

Set by the agency: WES accepts a professional service; The Evaluation Company asks for ATA-certified translators.

Freshmen

A document-by-document evaluation of the high school transcript, including GPA (International student requirements).

Transfers

A course-by-course evaluation of college transcripts, including GPA; under 30 semester hours, the high school evaluation too (International student requirements).

Agencies named

InCred (required for prospective athletes, for NAIA eligibility), World Education Services and The Evaluation Company, which has a discounted custom application (International student requirements).

Deadlines

Applications: June 1 for fall, October 1 for spring and summer. Documents: July 1 for fall, November 1 for spring and summer (International student requirements).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

WES accepts a word-for-word translation by a professional translator or translation service, not by the applicant.

The Evaluation Company, which has a discounted custom application for Coastal Georgia (International student requirements), accepts outside translations only from translators certified by the American Translators Association (TEC); eVerbary can assign one on request.

ECE, another NACES member, accepts any complete, word-for-word translation. Athletes must use InCred for NAIA eligibility; check its translation rule before ordering.

Two deadlines and two kinds of report

Coastal Georgia separates the application deadline from the document deadline: for fall you apply by June 1 and the evaluations, transcripts and English scores must be in by July 1 (International student requirements).

Translation comes before the agency can start, so order it early.

Freshmen need a document-by-document report of the high school record with a GPA; transfers need course-by-course reports of every college, and those with fewer than 30 semester or 45 quarter hours add the high school report.

Need a certified translation for Coastal Georgia?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • High school transcripts and diploma
  • College or university transcripts, every course listed
  • Degree certificates
  • Bank statements for the financial documentation, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Coastal Georgia

  • The translation goes to the agency with your records.

Transcripts, evaluations and English scores must reach Coastal Georgia directly by electronic exchange, by email to admissions@ccga.edu or by mail to the Office of Admissions, One College Drive, Brunswick, GA 31520 (International student requirements).

  • On request we can also email the translation directly to the admissions office.

If you need a translator certified by ATA

Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:

$34.95 per page

Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian

$44.95 per page

Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian

To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Coastal Georgia, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).

We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.

For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Coastal Georgia that means we translate your records; the document-by-document or course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from an AICE or NACES member.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions
