Cisco College requires an official evaluation from The Evaluation Company (TEC) for all foreign transcripts, and TEC asks that an outside translator be certified by the American Translators Association; immunization records not in English also need a translation.
Cisco College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary when the translator is individually certified by ATA, which eVerbary provides on request.
The TEC evaluation itself is ordered by you, and we do not provide it.

Cisco College requirements in detail
Translation
Foreign transcripts reach Cisco through the TEC evaluation; immunization records not in English must be translated (International students).
Who may translate
Set by TEC: an outside translator must be certified by ATA, or TEC translates in-house after the application is complete (TEC).
Evaluation
An official transcript evaluation from The Evaluation Company for all foreign transcripts; for secondary school it must show the equivalent of a US high school diploma (International students).
Official copies
Unofficial or opened copies of evaluations and transcripts are not accepted (International students).
Deadlines
Fall June 1, spring November 15, summer April 15 (International students).
Funds and fees
Proof of $15,000 for one year, documents no older than six months; $100 international application fee (International students).
Why the translator must be ATA-certified
Cisco has partnered with The Evaluation Company, formerly SpanTran, for discounted pricing and faster turnaround, and evaluates every foreign transcript through it (International students).
TEC's own rule is that an outside translator must be certified by the American Translators Association; otherwise its in-house team translates once your evaluation application is complete (TEC).
Another TEC page speaks of an ATA member instead (TEC facts and fictions). eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA for the languages ATA certifies: ask for a free quote and say it is for TEC and Cisco College.
One complete packet
Cisco wants everything in one packet sent straight to the International Student Liaison, by mail or to international.admissions@cisco.edu, not to a coach or another department; incomplete packets get an email listing what is missing, and no I-20 is issued before every requirement is met (International students).
Immunization records go in the same packet, translated if they are not in English, together with the Certificate of Health signed by your doctor.
Need a certified translation for Cisco College?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- Secondary school transcripts and diploma, for the TEC evaluation
- College or university transcripts, for the TEC evaluation
- Immunization records, if not in English
- Bank statement or bank letter, if not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Cisco College
Transcript translations go to TEC with your evaluation application, through Cisco's discounted link; TEC sends the official evaluation to Cisco (International students).
Translated immunization records and the rest of the packet go to the International Student Liaison by mail or email (International students).
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Cisco College, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Cisco College that means we translate your records for TEC; the evaluation is ordered and paid by you through TEC.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
