Chabot-Las Positas requirements in detail
Translation

Who may translate
Certified translation agencies; the International Student Program gives names on request (Chabot catalog, Las Positas catalog).
Official records
Both catalogs list official secondary and post-secondary academic records among the requirements (Chabot College catalog 2025–2026 (PDF), Las Positas College catalog 2025–2026 (PDF)).
Evaluation
None listed for F-1 admission at either college.
Where to send (Chabot)
By mail, scan to the ISP email, fax, or in person at Building 700 after the CCCApply application; decision typically within 3 business days of a complete file (Chabot College: international admission requirements).
Where to send (Las Positas)
By email to lpcglobal@laspositascollege.edu, mail or fax after the OpenCCC application (Las Positas College: international student admission requirements).
Deadlines from abroad
Chabot: June 1 for fall, November 1 for spring (Chabot College: international admission requirements). Las Positas: July 1 and December 1; August 1 and January 1 from within the US (Las Positas College: international student admission requirements).
Same district wording, two separate programs
Chabot and Las Positas share a district and much of their catalog text.
Both Chabot's and Las Positas's 2025–2026 catalogs list, among the international requirements, official secondary and post-secondary academic records, followed by the note to contact the International Student Program for the names of certified translation agencies.
The admission pages put it more briefly: high school or university transcripts, translated to English. Neither asks for a credential evaluation to be admitted.
The programs themselves are separate. Chabot's application asks for a $100 fee and a bank certification of at least $23,866; Las Positas asks for a $100 filing fee and more than $23,650 (Chabot, Las Positas).
Each college reads only the file sent to it, so if you apply to both, send each its own copy of the translated transcripts.
Las Positas waives the English test after at least three years at a school taught in English, shown by a letter from the school (Las Positas FAQ); if that letter is not in English, translate it too.
Timing, and Chabot's health programs
Chabot asks applicants outside the US to have everything in by June 1 for fall and November 1 for spring, recommends applying four to six months ahead, and decides most complete files within about three business days (Chabot College: international admission requirements).
Las Positas allows until July 1 and December 1 from abroad, considers later files case by case, and evaluates nothing until every document has arrived (Las Positas College: international student admission requirements).
Translating before you apply avoids the most common delay, a file missing one document.
At Chabot, Nursing and Dental Hygiene are impacted, with 40 and 20 places a year. International applicants apply to Chabot in CCCApply, submit the separate program application, and complete the International Student Application only after admission to the program (special programs).
