How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
Camden County College requires students who want credit for university study in their home country to have their transcripts evaluated by a NACES member, such as World Education Services, or by AACRAO International Education Services, and to submit the evaluation to Records and Registration.
Camden County College's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Translate first, then order the evaluation; the evaluation itself is something we do not provide.

Camden County College requirements in detail
Translation
Camden County College publishes no translation rule of its own; the evaluation agency sets it.
Evaluation
For university-level classes or degree programs completed abroad: an official evaluation report from a NACES member (international application), or from AACRAO International Education Services (transfer credit).
Where the evaluation goes
To the Office of Records and Registration (Awarding of transfer credit).
Credit conditions
Courses from accredited schools with a grade of C or equivalent, compatible with your program; at least 30 credits must be earned at the college (Awarding of transfer credit).
Official transcripts
No faxes; hand-delivered transcripts must stay sealed; electronic transcripts go to Transcripts@camdencc.edu (Submit your transcripts).
F-1 timing
Allow at least four weeks for processing; after acceptance a $3,500 deposit is due within 10 days of the email (International student application).
An evaluation instead of a translation rule
Camden County College does not tell you how to translate.
What it asks for is an evaluation: if you completed university-level classes or a degree program in your home country, you submit an official evaluation report of your transcript, and the evaluator must be a NACES member (international application).
Its transfer credit page adds AACRAO International Education Services as an alternative and gives World Education Services as the NACES example; the student is responsible for getting the evaluation and submitting it to the Office of Records and Registration (transfer credit).
Records and Registration grants transfer credit after admission.
Only courses from accredited institutions with a grade of C or equivalent are considered, they must fit the curriculum of your program, and at least 30 credits of the degree must be earned at Camden County College (Awarding of transfer credit).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
Because the evaluator sets the translation rule, check it before you order.
WES requires an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, does not accept translations by applicants, and takes the translation as an upload in your WES account (WES).
ECE accepts a complete, literal translation from anyone, including the applicant, and also sells an $85 translation waiver (ECE).
The Evaluation Company, another NACES member, accepts outside translations only from ATA-certified translators (TEC); eVerbary can assign one on request through a free quote.
F-1 applicants: the order of steps
F-1 applicants get the application from the International Student Services Office and should allow at least four weeks for processing.
After acceptance the college emails a request for a $3,500 deposit, due within 10 days, and then issues the I-20 (International student application).
Students transferring from another US school also send an official transcript to Records and Registration.
If you have studied at a university abroad, translate those records and start the evaluation early, so the report reaches the college when it reviews your credits.

Uploading the translation to Camden County College
The translation is not sent to Camden County College: it goes to the evaluation agency with your transcript. You then submit the agency's evaluation to the Office of Records and Registration (Awarding of transfer credit).
Official transcripts from US schools can be sent electronically to Transcripts@camdencc.edu or delivered in a sealed envelope; faxes are not accepted (Submit your transcripts).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Camden County College that means we translate your records for the agency; the NACES or AACRAO IES evaluation is ordered by you after the translation.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

You do: the student is responsible for having the transcript evaluated and submitting the evaluation to Records and Registration (Awarding of transfer credit).
