How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Bentley asks that any transcript in another language come with an officially translated English version, submitted by an outside organization or a school official rather than by the applicant; graduate applicants need a certified English translation and a NACES course-by-course evaluation.
Bentley University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. We can email the translation directly to Bentley admissions on request; the graduate evaluation is something we do not provide.

Bentley requirements in detail
Translation (undergraduate)
An officially translated English version for any transcript not in English (First-year applicants).
Who submits it
An outside organization or a school official (First-year applicants); applicant uploads are not mentioned.
Transfer
Same rule for college transcripts, plus a final official high school transcript sent by the school, whatever your credits (international transfer).
Translation (graduate)
Original materials in a foreign language need a certified English translation (graduate FAQ).
Evaluation (graduate)
NACES member, course-by-course grades and degree equivalency, ordered inside BusinessCAS or from your own provider; TEC offers a discount (Graduate admission FAQ).
Official transcripts
Official only when received directly from your school; self-submitted copies are unofficial (First-year applicants).
Who sends the translation to Bentley
Bentley's undergraduate wording is specific: the English version must be officially translated and submitted by an outside organization or a school official (first-year applicants).
The same sentence appears for transfer and homeschool applicants (transfer).
In practice that means the translation should not arrive as your own upload: either your school sends it with the transcript, or the translation service sends it. eVerbary can email the certified translation directly to Bentley admissions when you ask for it in the order.
Graduate applicants: translation plus a NACES evaluation
For the graduate school, foreign-language materials need a certified English translation, and any degree from outside the US needs a NACES-member evaluation showing course-by-course grades and degree equivalency (graduate FAQ).
You can order the evaluation within BusinessCAS or pick any NACES member; Bentley recommends The Evaluation Company, which offers its applicants a discount, and uses the evaluation to decide foundation course waivers.

Uploading the translation to Bentley
Undergraduates: the school sends the transcript; the translation must also come from the school or from an outside organization (First-year applicants). Ask eVerbary to email it to Bentley admissions.
Graduate applicants upload materials in BusinessCAS and have the NACES evaluation sent to Bentley (Graduate admission FAQ).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Bentley that means we translate and can send the translation to admissions; the graduate NACES evaluation comes from an evaluation agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I upload my own translation to Bentley?
Bentley asks that it be submitted by an outside organization or a school official (First-year applicants). eVerbary can email it directly to admissions.
Does a Bentley transfer applicant need a high school transcript?
Yes, a final official high school transcript sent by the school, regardless of credits completed (International transfer applicants).
What translation does the Bentley graduate school ask for?
A certified English translation of materials issued in a foreign language (Graduate admission FAQ).
Which evaluation does a graduate applicant need?
A NACES-member course-by-course evaluation with degree equivalency, requested in BusinessCAS or from any NACES member (Graduate admission FAQ).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
