Official records, a certified service, and the C-in-five-subjects test

Anoka-Ramsey states its rule plainly: F-1 applicants send official academic records and exam results from their secondary school, documents in another language come with English translations from a certified English translation service, and copies of originals are not accepted (international admission).

The documents go by mail to International Admission at the Coon Rapids campus; the page also asks you to retain a second set of financial documents for the immigration authorities.

The college reads the record itself.

It must show grades equivalent to a C or better in at least five academic subjects within a college preparatory track, and vocational preparatory courses, English and theological courses do not count toward the five (International student: how to apply).

Translate every year of the secondary transcript with the grading scale, not only the final certificate, so the subjects and grades can be counted.

Credit from abroad: ECE or WES

To transfer credit from a university outside the US, order a "Course by Course" evaluation from Educational Credential Evaluators or World Education Services, the two services Anoka-Ramsey lists; the report must be sent directly to the college (transfer credit).

WES wants a professional translator and does not accept the applicant's own; ECE accepts any complete, word-for-word translation or sells an $85 waiver.

  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Anoka-Ramsey

  • Mail the official records with their certified translations to International Admission, 11200 Mississippi Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433-3499, together with the online application's other required documents (International student: how to apply).

  • For credit, send the translated university transcripts to ECE or WES; the agency sends the course-by-course report to Anoka-Ramsey (Transfer credit).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Anoka-Ramsey that means we translate your secondary records and transcripts; the course-by-course evaluation comes from ECE or WES.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
