Anderson University requirements in detail

Translation (undergraduate)

High school transcripts must be translated into English (International undergraduate admission).

Translation (graduate)

Certified, literal (exact) English translations, with the native-language transcripts (International graduate admission).

Who may translate

Not restricted; official documents may come directly from a translation service (International undergraduate admission).

Course-by-course with GPA for secondary and college records from outside the US, by WES, ECE, TEC or any NACES member, sent by the agency (International undergraduate admission).

Recommended agencies

Undergraduate: The Evaluation Company, through a discounted Anderson portal. Graduate: IEE (International undergraduate admission, graduate).

Exempt

Records from US, IB or US Embassy schools need no evaluation (International undergraduate admission).

Not accepted

Transcripts sent by the student, or by the school instead of an evaluation (International undergraduate admission).

A translation, an evaluation, and who may send them

Anderson University does not accept transcripts sent by the applicant.

Official documents must come directly from the issuing institution, the examining body, an evaluation service or a translation service (International undergraduate admission).

High school transcripts must be translated into English, and every secondary and college record from outside the US also needs a course-by-course evaluation with GPA, even for first-year applicants.

On request, eVerbary can email the translation directly to the Office of Admission. Translate every year of your high school records.

Graduate applicants submit official transcripts in their native language together with certified, literal (exact) English translations (International graduate admission).

For undergraduates Anderson recommends The Evaluation Company, through a custom portal with a discounted rate; TEC says an outside translator must be certified by the American Translators Association, and eVerbary can assign one on request (see below).

For graduates it recommends IEE, which wants a certified translator and rejects translations by the applicant or a notary public. WES and ECE are also accepted; WES wants a professional, word-for-word translation.

The graduate page recommends IEE but then says The Evaluation Company will send the electronic copy (International graduate admission); if you apply to a graduate program, confirm which agency your application expects.

Need a certified translation for Anderson University?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • High school transcripts and diploma
  • College or university transcripts, every institution
  • Degree certificates, for graduate applicants
  • Bank statement for the I-20, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Anderson University

  • The translation goes with your records to the evaluation agency, and a copy can go directly from us to Anderson University's Office of Admission, which accepts documents from a translation service (International undergraduate admission).

  • The agency sends its course-by-course evaluation with cumulative GPA directly to the Office of Admission (International undergraduate admission).

If you need a translator certified by ATA

Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:

$34.95 per page

Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian

$44.95 per page

Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian

To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Anderson University, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).

We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.

For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Anderson University that means we translate your records; the course-by-course evaluation with GPA is ordered by you from a NACES member.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
