Translating Student Handbooks and District Policies from English
A student handbook is long, repeated every year and read by every family. eVerbary translates handbooks, codes of conduct, enrollment policies and annual notices from English into the languages your families read, $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, with 10%, 15%, 20% volume discounts.
$24.95/page
Up to 250 words, from English into any of our 60+ languages. Certified or standard, the same price.
24-hour standard
For 1–3 pages; longer files take proportionally longer. As little as 30 minutes on request for regular clients.
Invoice and PO
One district account, a PO number on the invoice, a W-9 on request, net 30 for orders placed on account.
Translate it once, update it each year
A handbook changes by a few pages a year. Send us the new edition with the changes marked and we translate what changed, keeping the rest. The cost of the second year is a fraction of the first, and the terminology is the same as before.
A 60-page handbook into four languages is 240 pages of translation. At $24.95 per page that is $5,988.00 at the list price; in the month after a district has translated 100 pages the rate is $19.96 per page. The discount is measured on the previous calendar month across the account, so it is worth ordering the large documents in the same month.
Annual notices
The notices a district must send every year, such as nondiscrimination statements, directory information notices and the notices of parent rights, are the same each time. Translate them once, and each year only the date changes.
How a district orders
The district office opens one team account and invites schools and departments as members, with the office as admin. Staff upload the document, choose the language and place the order; a billing cycle set by the admin means they never need a card. Everyone in the team sees every order, so the next school finds the translation that already exists.
Delivery is a PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request. For recurring notices, ask in the order chat to keep the same terminology from one month to the next.

Frequently asked questions
Can you translate a handbook that is a designed PDF?
Yes. We return a PDF that follows the layout. Send the editable source if you have it; it saves time and keeps the formatting exact.
How long does a long handbook take?
Longer files take proportionally longer than the 24 hours for one to three pages. The checkout shows the delivery time before you pay.
How much does it cost to translate a school notice from English?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, into Spanish, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, Arabic or any other language we offer. A certified translation and a standard one cost the same. Accounts that translated 20, 50, 100 or more pages in the previous month get 10%, 15%, 20% off.
Can the district be invoiced, and what are the payment terms?
Yes. Orders placed on account go on an invoice that carries your purchase-order number, due 30 days after its date (net 30), payable by card, check or wire transfer. We send a W-9 and complete vendor registration forms. Accounts can also be set to one invoice a week, every two weeks or every month. See invoicing and payment.
Is it machine translation?
No. A professional human translator in the United States translates every document and a second reviewer checks it before delivery. See how we translate.
