How we know · policy checked on October 21, 2026
The Florida Board of Accountancy requires applicants who rely on foreign transcripts to provide, at their own expense, a complete course-by-course evaluation by a Board-approved evaluation service; the Board publishes no translation rule of its own, so the agency's rule applies.
NASBA International Evaluation Services (NIES), on the approved list, accepts certified translations from any member of the American Translators Association, so it accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary, an ATA corporate member translating in the US.
We translate your records for the agency; we do not prepare the evaluation.

Florida Board of Accountancy requirements in detail
Translation
The Board's rule sets no translation requirement; the evaluation service applies its own (Rule 61H1-27.001, College or University Requirements).
Who may translate
Evaluation
A complete course-by-course evaluation of any foreign transcript, at your own expense, by a Board-approved service (Rule 61H1-27.001, College or University Requirements).
Approved services
Josef Silny & Associates, ACREVS, Foreign Academic Credential Evaluators, Global Services Associates and NASBA International Evaluation Services, on the list the rule incorporates (Board's list of approved evaluation services, April 2017).
NIES for Florida
Florida is among the jurisdictions NIES evaluates for (NIES).
Rule date
Rule 61H1-27.001 was last amended effective September 25, 2025; the incorporated list is dated April 2017 (Rule 61H1-27.001, College or University Requirements).
What the rule says and what it leaves to the agency
Rule 61H1-27.001(6) is short: applicants relying on foreign transcripts provide the Board a complete course-by-course evaluation, at their own expense, by a service the Board approved (Rule 61H1-27.001, College or University Requirements).
It does not mention translation, so each agency's own rule decides who may translate.
Of the five services on the incorporated list (Board's list of approved evaluation services, April 2017), NIES accepts translations from any member of the American Translators Association, a university or a ministry, verbatim and in the original format, signed and dated by the translator (NIES).
Josef Silny asks for ATA-certified translators for translations made in the US (JS&A); if you use it, see the ATA section below.
Where we could not check
The Board's own website did not load for us on October 21, 2026, so this page relies on the Board's rule and the list incorporated in it, published by the Florida Department of State (Rule 61H1-27.001, College or University Requirements, Board's list of approved evaluation services, April 2017).
The list dates from April 2017. Confirm the current list with the Board before you order an evaluation.
Need a certified translation for Florida Board of Accountancy?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- University transcripts or mark sheets, for the course-by-course evaluation
- Degree certificates and diplomas
- Records of accounting and business courses, with syllabi if the agency asks
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades, hours and credits exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA or equivalency.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload or print.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
- Notarization added at checkout ($34.90 per order) when the office asks for a notarized translation.
Submitting the translation to Florida Board of Accountancy
The translation goes to the evaluation service with your records, under that service's instructions; the service prepares the course-by-course evaluation the Board requires (Rule 61H1-27.001, College or University Requirements).
For NIES, mail goes to NASBA International Evaluation Services in Nashville, with that name on the envelope (NIES).
eVerbary can mail the translation to the agency in a sealed, signed envelope: choose the hard copy at checkout with the agency's address ($19.95 Priority or $37.95 Express in the US) and write in the order notes that it is for the Florida Board of Accountancy evaluation.
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Florida Board of Accountancy, what it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service or a licensing agency: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, we cannot send documents on behalf of the school or authority that issued them, and we do not file the license application.
For the Florida Board that means we translate your records for the evaluation service; the course-by-course evaluation is ordered and paid by you, and the Board decides eligibility.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and submit it with the copy of the original wherever the office asks for it.
