NABP FPGEC Translation Requirements
The FPGEC requires an official, word-for-word English translation of every document not in English, seals and stamps included, by a certified translator, court interpreter, government or pharmacy school official, professional translation service or university language department. Each page must carry the translator's original signature and date on official stationery, with an accuracy attestation and proof of the translator's credentials. You may not translate your own documents.

| What it says | |
|---|---|
| Core rule | “Any document, including all seals and stamps, not in English must be accompanied by an official word-for-word English translation that is prepared and certified correct by an official translator.” source |
| Who may translate | A certified translator, certified court interpreter, authorized government official, pharmacy school official, professional translation service in any country, or a university language department. source |
| Format | Each page with an original signature and date, on official stationery. Photocopies of translations are not accepted. An accuracy attestation and proof of the translator's credentials must accompany each translation. |
| Self-translation | “You may not provide your own translations.” |
| Notarization | Photocopies of documents submitted to the FPGEC must be notarized; the rule is about the documents, not the translation. |
| Transcripts and degree | Evaluated by ECE, the only organization that evaluates credentials for NABP. ECE's own self-translation allowance and its translation waiver do not apply to NABP orders. source |
Worth knowing
Because photocopies of translations are not accepted and every page needs an original signature, an FPGEC translation is a paper document mailed with the license envelope, not a PDF.
How we fit
Tell us it is for the FPGEC when you order: we sign and date every page in ink on our letterhead, add the accuracy attestation and the translator's credentials, and mail the originals ourselves, to the FPGEC or to you for your license envelope.
Other bodies and the state boards are on healthcare credentialing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I translate my pharmacy documents myself for the FPGEC?
No. NABP's bulletin says you may not provide your own translations, even though ECE allows self-translation for other purposes.
Is a PDF translation accepted by the FPGEC?
No. Each page needs the translator's original signature and date, and photocopies of translations are not accepted.
How much does it cost?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certified. Most orders are delivered within a few hours.
