Assessed by MSEK, now issued electronically

Disability in Kyrgyzstan is established by the medical and social expert commission (MSEK), on a referral from the patient's family medicine centre. Adults are placed in group I, II or III, group I being the most severe. Since 2025 the outcome is issued as an electronic certificate, and the several separate certificates people used to receive have been combined.

Older files hold the paper MSEK certificate, usually in Russian, stating the group, its cause and the date of the next re-examination. People with anatomical defects such as an amputation can now be assessed remotely; everyone else is still examined in person. See our Russian page.

A group is not a US rating

A Kyrgyz disability group is a national classification, not a percentage rating or a Social Security determination. We translate the group exactly and do not convert it; a US agency or court applies its own standard. See our Kyrgyz medical records page.

In US files the certificate can support a medical waiver request for the citizenship test, an asylum claim or a child's school support plan, and each of those will also want the underlying medical evidence. See our Kyrgyz page.

What USCIS requires

Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.

State agencies set their own rules — see government agencies — and what our certification states is on this page.

How it works

Upload a photo or a scan of your document, pick the language pair and check out online. You never have to mail originals: a legible copy is all we need.

A professional human translator, never machine translation, translates the document word for word and mirrors the layout of the original. Every certified translation ships with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy that meets the requirements of USCIS, courts and universities.

Your translation is delivered digitally, usually within 24 hours for documents of one to three pages, and same-day delivery is available. If anything needs adjusting, we revise it.

Certified vs. standard translation

A certified translation is a word-for-word translation accompanied by a signed statement attesting to its accuracy and completeness. It is what official bodies require: USCIS, courts, universities and government agencies. Certified translations are $24.95 per page, where one sheet of your document is one page, with no word cap.

A standard translation is the same professional human translation without the certificate, for when you only need to understand the content or for internal or informal use. It is billed at the same $24.95 per page with no word cap.

Frequently asked questions

What does group II mean?

It is the middle of Kyrgyzstan's three adult disability groups. We translate it as printed; a US agency decides what it means under its own rules.

My certificate is electronic.

Since 2025 that is the normal form. Send a clear copy or printout and we translate every field.

The certificate has a re-examination date.

We translate it exactly. A US office may ask whether the group was confirmed at that date, so keep any later certificate too.
