The extract from the Archives Nationales is the one that counts
A Haitian birth is registered by the officier d'état civil of the commune, and a copy of that register is transmitted to the Archives Nationales d'Haïti. What foreign authorities generally require is the extrait des archives issued by the Archives Nationales, not the local acte de naissance drawn up by the commune.
Applicants frequently hold only the local act, and finding that out at the filing stage is expensive. Check which one was asked for before ordering a translation.
Unregistered births, and documents in French
A great many Haitian births were never registered, or were registered years late, and the substitute is usually a court-ordered late registration or a sworn declaration. We translate what you have as the document it is; whether it satisfies the receiving office is for them or your attorney to say.

Usually the Archives Nationales extract. Ask the office receiving it before ordering, because the two are different documents.
My birth was never registered.
Common in Haiti. A late registration ordered by a court, or a sworn declaration, is the usual substitute, and we translate whichever you obtain.
My certificate is in French, not Creole.
