INACIF, and the forensic institute
The Dominican Republic created the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Forenses as the forensic institution serving the criminal justice system, and its reports carry case numbers and institutional signatures.
An INACIF report is a state institution's determination rather than a retained opinion, and we name the institute and the department.
Peritos in civil matters
In civil matters the court appoints experts, frequently three, and the parties may propose candidates. The appointment judgment states the mission and the deadline.
