ATA prices and how to order · policy checked on October 21, 2026

ACEI, the Beverly Hills evaluator that is a founding member of AICE, asks for a complete, line-by-line, word-for-word English translation of every document not issued in English, and says translations made in the US must come from ATA-certified translators.

ACEI does not translate; eVerbary assigns a translator individually certified by ATA on request. You upload the translation together with color scans of the original-language documents; the evaluation itself comes from ACEI.

ACEI at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

ACEI says US translations must be prepared by ATA-certified translators and that the original-language documents must be submitted too (required documents), so a translation by an ATA-certified translator, whom eVerbary assigns on request, meets it. Policy checked on October 21, 2026.

Worth knowing about ACEI

ATA-certified in the US

Translations made abroad must show the translator's license and its source.

No translations alone

Upload the original-language document with every translation.

No originals by mail

Color PDF scans with the online application only.

ACEI requirements in detail

Translation

Required for every document issued in a language other than English: a complete set of English translations, line-by-line, word-for-word and in the same format as the original (ACEI: required documents).

Who may translate

In the US, an ATA-certified translator. Outside the US, a translator whose translation shows name, license or registration number and the body that granted it (ACEI: required documents).

Self-translation

Not addressed in so many words; the ATA rule leaves no room for a translation you make yourself.

Original or copy

High-quality color PDF scans of the official documents, uploaded with the application; ACEI does not accept original documents by mail. Translations alone are not accepted (ACEI: required documents).

Own translation service

None. ACEI refers applicants to Language Clarity Translations, an independent company, as a courtesy (ACEI: translation service).

How to submit

Upload with the online application; official transcripts may also reach ACEI through an approved electronic platform for your country (ACEI: required documents).

Notarization

Not mentioned by ACEI.

Two rules, depending on where the translator works

ACEI splits its rule by place. A translation prepared in the US must come from a translator certified by the American Translators Association.

A translation prepared abroad must carry the translator's name, license or registration number and the licensing source, so ACEI can check it (ACEI: required documents).

Its translation page writes the same rule in capitals and calls the translators "ATA licensed" (ACEI: translation service); ATA certifies individual translators, so we read both as ATA-certified.

eVerbary works with translators in the US, so for ACEI we assign a translator individually certified by ATA. ATA certifies only some languages into English; for others there is no ATA-certified translator anywhere, and you should ask ACEI before ordering.

What ACEI checks in the file

The translation must match the original line by line and keep its format, and ACEI will not evaluate a translation without the document in the original language (ACEI: required documents).

Scans must be full-page, in color, not cropped or skewed, sent as attachments rather than links or zip files.

ACEI also evaluates studies in order: for a master's or doctorate you submit and translate the undergraduate records as well, each credential with its own fee (ACEI: required documents).

ACEI is listed today as an endorsed member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators and as one of its founding members (AICE).

Need a certified translation for ACEI?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • Transcripts and mark sheets, both sides
  • Degree certificates and diplomas
  • Clinical training records with areas and hours, for health professions
  • Professional licenses from the country of study
  • Marriage certificate or other proof of a name change

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades, hours and credits exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA or equivalency.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload or print.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
  • Notarization added at checkout ($34.90 per order) when the office asks for a notarized translation.

Submitting the translation to ACEI

  • Upload the translations with the color scans of the original-language documents in your ACEI online application (ACEI: required documents). Do not mail originals.

  • We deliver the translation as a PDF with the translator's signed certification, ready to upload. ACEI then prepares the evaluation and sends it where you ask.

If you need a translator certified by ATA

Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:

$34.95 per page

Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian

$44.95 per page

Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian

To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for ACEI, what it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).

We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.

For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, we do not order the evaluation for you, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For ACEI that means we provide the ATA-certified translation; the evaluation, its fees and the electronic transcript delivery are handled with ACEI.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and submit it with the copy of the original wherever the office asks for it.
