Certified Translation Services Compared

Most online certified translation services charge by the page, define a page as 250 words and promise that USCIS will accept the result. The differences are in the details: what the standard turnaround really is, what rush and notarization cost, and what the guarantee covers. Below are the published prices of five services, eVerbary included, read on each company’s own website on October 7, 2026. Where we are not the cheapest, the table says so.

What a typical USCIS order actually costs

Headline prices only tell you so much, so here is one realistic order: three pages (a birth certificate and a two-page marriage certificate), certified, back within 24 hours, without notarization because USCIS does not require it.

Cost of a three-page certified order delivered within 24 hours
ServiceYou payHow it adds up
eVerbary$74.853 × $24.95; 24 hours is the standard turnaround for 1–3 pages
RushTranslate$74.853 × $24.95, if their “starting at 24 hours” applies to your order
Rapid Translate$83.973 × $27.99; 24 hours is standard for 1–3 pages
Day TranslationsFrom $87.003 × $29, their “from” price
Tersus Translations$113.853 × ($22.95 + $15 rush), because standard delivery is 48–72 hours

If you can wait two or three days, Tersus is the cheapest of the five: $68.85 for the same three pages. If you need them tomorrow, it is the most expensive. That is the real trade-off, and it is worth deciding which side of it you are on before comparing headline prices.

Notarization: usually unnecessary, and where prices differ most

USCIS accepts a certified translation without a notary, so for an immigration filing you can normally skip it. Some courts, schools and foreign authorities do ask for one, and when they do the fees vary more than the page prices: on a three-page order it is $59.97 at Rapid Translate (charged per page), $45 at Tersus, $34.90 at eVerbary and $19.99 at Day Translations. What to check besides the price

Where eVerbary fits

eVerbary charges $24.95 per page, with 24-hour delivery for one to three pages included in that price. Every translation is done by a professional human translator, carries a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy and is covered by a 100% USCIS acceptance guarantee. Revisions are included.

We are not the cheapest per page — Tersus is — and we charge the same as RushTranslate. Where we come out ahead is when speed is part of the requirement, which for a USCIS deadline it usually is. You can see how we translate, or upload your document for an exact price before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

Which certified translation service is the cheapest?

Per page, Tersus Translations at $22.95 (as published on October 7, 2026), with a standard turnaround of 48–72 hours. If you need the translation within 24 hours, the cheapest are eVerbary and RushTranslate at $24.95 per page; at eVerbary 24 hours is the standard turnaround for one to three pages, with no rush fee.

Does USCIS approve particular translation companies?

No. USCIS does not certify or list translation companies. Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) it requires a complete English translation and a certification from the translator that the translation is complete and accurate and that they are competent to translate. Any of the services on this page can provide that.

Do I need a notarized translation for USCIS?

No. USCIS asks for a certified translation, not a notarized one. Notarization only matters if another institution specifically asks for it.

Why does everyone define a page as 250 words?

It is the industry convention for document translation, and all five services here use it. A dense document such as an academic transcript can count as more than one page, so request a quote first if your document is long.
