How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Wingate University requires translated and evaluated official final transcripts for enrollment, recommends WES and SpanTran for the evaluation and a separate translation company for the translation, and does not say that only that company may translate.
Wingate University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The course-by-course evaluation of college transcripts is something we do not provide.
Wingate at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Wingate's international admissions page asks for translated transcripts, recommends a translation company rather than requiring one, and does not restrict who translates (international admissions); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Evaluation
College transcripts must be evaluated; course-by-course recommended, with World Education Services or SpanTran (International admissions).
Transcripts
Official high school transcripts are emailed by a school official to internationaladmissions@wingate.edu; transcripts sent by students are not accepted (International admissions).

Wingate Online
International high school and college transcripts are evaluated by a NACES member (undergraduate admissions).
Two companies, two jobs
Wingate is one of the few universities that separates the two steps on its page: it recommends World Education Services and SpanTran for evaluation, and University Language Services for translation (international admissions).
The recommendation is not a requirement, and the only condition stated is that translated and evaluated official final transcripts are in your file before you enroll. A certified translation from eVerbary covers the translation step.
If the same translation will go to the evaluator, check its rule: WES accepts a word-for-word translation by a professional translator or service, not by the applicant; SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, accepts outside translations only from ATA-certified translators, which eVerbary can assign on request through a free quote.
Official records and bank statements
Your school, not you, emails the official high school transcript to internationaladmissions@wingate.edu, and Wingate keeps original documents as federal guidelines require (International admissions).
Send the certified translation with your application so the file is complete; the final translated and evaluated transcripts follow before enrollment.
For the I-20, bank statements must be recent, show the balance and be translated into English, and Wingate says unofficial translations are acceptable for them (International admissions).
So a certified translation is optional for the bank statement, though it keeps the whole file consistent.
Wingate Online applicants follow a different line: both high school and college transcripts are evaluated by a NACES member (Undergraduate admissions).

Uploading the translation to Wingate
The school official emails the official transcript to internationaladmissions@wingate.edu; your certified translation and other documents go to the same office (International admissions). On request we can email the translation directly to the admissions office.
After admission you complete the International Processing Form and pay the $100 processing fee (International admissions).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Wingate that means we translate your transcripts and bank statements; the course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from WES, SpanTran or another evaluator.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
