How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point asks international applicants for original copies of academic records from every school attended; an official evaluation may be required, and it is required of all post-graduate applicants who completed their undergraduate degree outside the US, with The Evaluation Company, Scholaro, One Earth and ECE recommended.
UW-Stevens Point's evaluation agencies, such as Scholaro, One Earth and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary, and for TEC eVerbary provides an ATA-certified translator on request. The evaluation itself is something we do not produce.

What each recommended evaluator asks for the translation
ECE accepts any complete, literal translation, including your own, or translates internally for an $85 waiver.
One Earth asks for word-for-word translations in the same format as the original and in most cases lets applicants translate.
Scholaro accepts documents in the original language or with a certified translation from a professional translator. The Evaluation Company requires an ATA-certified translator; for it, eVerbary can assign one through a free quote.
Graduate applicants: plan for the evaluation
For undergraduates UWSP converts grades itself in most cases, and its checklist adds evaluations or translations only if required (International admission).
Graduate applicants with a foreign bachelor's degree always need the evaluation, so order the translation of the degree certificate and transcripts first and send them to the evaluator.
UWSP asks that everything arrive as one complete package by upload or email.

Uploading the translation to UW-Stevens Point
Upload PDFs to your accesSPoint account or email them; the evaluation comes from the agency (International admission).
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for UW-Stevens Point, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For UW-Stevens Point that means we translate your records; the evaluation is ordered by you from TEC, Scholaro, One Earth or ECE.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
