How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
Texas A&M University-San Antonio requires a foreign credential evaluation report from a recognized agency for all international transcripts, high school, college and university, for bachelor's and master's applicants; the report must include a detailed course-by-course description, or you provide official translated course descriptions, and it must be less than a year old.
A&M-San Antonio's evaluation agencies, such as WES, ECE and FCSA, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The evaluation itself is something we do not produce.

A&M-San Antonio requirements in detail
Translation
No rule for transcripts of its own; if the evaluation has no detailed course-by-course description, official translated course descriptions are required (Bachelor degree: freshman requirements).
Who may translate
For the evaluation, set by the agency; for course descriptions, not stated.
Evaluation
All international transcripts (high school, college, university), by a recognized agency, no more than one year old (Bachelor degree: freshman requirements).
Agencies
ECE, GCE, Foreign Academic Credentials Service, WES, The Evaluation Company and FCSA are the most commonly used (Bachelor degree: freshman requirements).
Delivery (bachelor's)
Directly from the agency to Undergraduate Admissions, One University Way, San Antonio, TX 78224; documents submitted by applicants are not official (Bachelor degree: freshman requirements).
Delivery (master's)
Directly from the agency to graduateadmissions@tamusa.edu, or by mail to Graduate Admissions, Madla Building 125C (master's requirements).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
WES wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator. ECE accepts complete, literal translations by anyone, including you, or translates internally for an $85 waiver.
FCSA, in Austin, accepts certified translations from most professional agencies.
GCE accepts only the issuing university, the ministry or an ATA-certified translator, and The Evaluation Company wants an outside translator certified by ATA; for those, ask eVerbary for a free quote and say which agency it is for.
Course descriptions and the one-year limit
A&M-San Antonio wants to see what each course covered: the report must include a detailed course-by-course description, or you must provide official translated course descriptions (Bachelor degree: freshman requirements).
If your agency's report lists only course titles and grades, translate the official course descriptions or syllabi from your school as well.
The evaluation must be no more than one year old on the date you apply, so an old report from a past application may need to be renewed; the same rules apply to master's applicants, whose high school transcripts are evaluated too (Master degree requirements).

- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.

Uploading the translation to A&M-San Antonio
The translation goes to the agency with your records; the agency sends the report directly to Undergraduate Admissions or to graduateadmissions@tamusa.edu (Bachelor degree: freshman requirements, Master degree requirements).
Translated course descriptions are sent as A&M-San Antonio instructs; we can email the translation directly to the admissions office on request.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For A&M-San Antonio that means we translate your records and course descriptions; the evaluation report is ordered by you from a recognized agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
