TAMUK requirements in detail
Translation (undergraduate)
Certified, literal translations of all credentials officially issued in a language other than English (International undergraduate admission).
Translation (graduate)
The native-language transcript with an official English translation (International graduate admissions).
Who may translate
A recognized translation service; the translation must include all original seals and signatures (International graduate admissions).
Evaluation
Done by the Office of Admission; graduate files need an agency evaluation only if the institution is not verified, and evaluations are not accepted as transcripts (International graduate admissions).
Official copies
Notarized, faxed or scanned copies are not official; attested copies sealed by the school may be considered (International graduate admissions).
India
Individual mark sheets for each term; a consolidated mark sheet alone is not enough (International graduate admissions).
Undergraduate deadlines
Documents by June 1 for fall, October 1 for spring, May 1 for summer; decisions take about two months (International undergraduate admission).
A recognized translation service, with every seal
TAMUK is one of the A&M campuses that reads foreign records itself.
Its graduate page defines an official translation as one prepared by a recognized translation service that includes all original seals and signatures (International graduate admissions); undergraduates need certified, literal translations of all credentials issued in another language (International undergraduate admission).
In practice the translation must render every stamp, signature and handwritten note, not only the grades; an eVerbary translation includes stamps, seals and handwritten notes.
Graduate applicants send the native-language transcript with the translation; the degree must be equivalent to a US bachelor's degree or the file is not processed.
An evaluation from a university-approved agency is requested only if TAMUK cannot verify your institution (International graduate admissions).
Transcripts TAMUK treats as official
Transcripts are official when they carry an original signature or seal of a school official, such as the registrar, principal, controller of examinations or the Ministry of Education.
Notarized, faxed or scanned copies are not, and evaluations are not accepted as transcripts; an attested copy may be used if the school seals it in an envelope and mails it (International graduate admissions).
Applicants from India send the mark sheet for each term. Institutions can also send records electronically through TrueCopy (Parchment), TREx or the National Clearinghouse.

Uploading the translation to TAMUK
Undergraduates mail or send the documents and translations to the Office of Admission, 1050 West Santa Gertrudis, Kingsville, before the term deadline (International undergraduate admission). Graduate applicants include the applicant ID on every document (International graduate admissions).
We can send the certified translation directly to the admissions office by email on request.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For TAMUK that means we translate your records; if Admissions asks for an agency evaluation because your institution cannot be verified, it comes from a university-approved agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
