How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
St. Francis College asks international applicants to send official records in the original language translated into English, and its rule does not say who must translate, although it points applicants to SpanTran or any NACES member for translation services.
St. Francis College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Transfers with study abroad and graduate applicants also need a course-by-course evaluation; if you use SpanTran (The Evaluation Company), St. Francis College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary when the translator is individually certified by ATA, which eVerbary provides on request.
St. Francis College at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
St. Francis College asks for official records "in the original language translated into English" and does not restrict who translates (international students); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation.
The page also suggests SpanTran or a NACES member for translation services; SpanTran (TEC) takes outside translations only from an ATA-certified translator (TEC). Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Not restricted; for translation services the page suggests SpanTran or any NACES member (International students).
Evaluation (first-year)
Only for certain countries: a course-by-course evaluation by an evaluation company; ask international admissions (International students).
Evaluation (transfer)
A course-by-course evaluation for every institution attended outside the US, from SpanTran or a NACES member (International students).
Graduate
Undergraduate transcripts translated into English and a course-by-course evaluation; SpanTran recommended, any NACES member accepted (International students).
Official transcripts
Sent directly by the institution; anything from a third party, the applicant included, is unofficial (International students).

Official CXC, IB, WAEC and similar results go to the same office (International students).
A translation from anyone, a suggestion of SpanTran
The checklist sentence asks only that records arrive in the original language translated into English.
The next line, for first-year applicants, says that for translation services you can visit SpanTran or any NACES member, and that certain countries need a course-by-course evaluation (International students).
That reads as a suggestion, not a limit on who translates.
If you also need an evaluation, the agency's rule applies to the translation you give it: WES wants a professional translator or service (WES); SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, accepts an outside translator only if certified by ATA (TEC).
Transfers and graduate applicants
Transfer students who studied outside the US need a course-by-course evaluation of every institution attended, and graduate applicants need one for their bachelor's degree, with SpanTran recommended and any NACES member accepted (International students).
Graduate documents, including undergraduate transcripts translated into English, go to the International Recruitment Specialist.

Uploading the translation to St. Francis College
Apply online, then email the records and their English translations to St. Francis College's international admissions address; official transcripts must come straight from the issuing school (International students). Evaluations are sent by the agency.
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for St. Francis College, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For St. Francis College that means we translate your records; a course-by-course evaluation from SpanTran or a NACES member is ordered by you.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to use SpanTran to translate for St. Francis College?
The page suggests SpanTran or any NACES member for translation services, but its rule only asks for records translated into English (International students). A certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets that rule.
Do first-year applicants need an evaluation?
Only applicants from certain countries; email international admissions to check (International students).
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for SpanTran?
Yes: ask for a free quote and say it is for The Evaluation Company (SpanTran). ATA certifies Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian ($34.95 per page) and Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian ($44.95 per page) into English, and no other languages (TEC rule).
Can I email my own transcript?
You can send copies, but transcripts from a third party, including you, count as unofficial; officials come from the school (International students).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
