How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Simmons University requires an English translation of every transcript not in English, along with official transcripts and US grading equivalencies; secondary school evaluations are recommended, and college transcripts from abroad must be evaluated by any NACES member.
Simmons University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. Graduate applicants with a degree from abroad submit a NACES course-by-course evaluation, which we do not provide.
Simmons at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Simmons's international page says an English translation of all transcripts not in English is required, without saying who makes it (international students); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets that rule. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Simmons requirements in detail
Translation
An English translation of all transcripts not in English; transcripts must be official, signed in ink and sealed (International students).
Who may translate
Not stated (International students).
High school evaluation
Recommended, not required: WES, CED or The Evaluation Company (International students).
College evaluation
Required for transcripts from an institution overseas, by any NACES member (International students).
Graduate
A NACES course-by-course evaluation in English with grades, submitted with the transcript in the original language (graduate international).
Archives Management
English translations and US equivalencies through a NACES member; notarized translations are not acceptable (program page).
Transcripts
Self-submitted transcripts are not accepted (International students).
Translation for everyone, evaluation for college records
Every Simmons undergraduate applicant with records in another language needs an English translation, and the transcripts must also show US grading equivalencies (international students).
For secondary records an evaluation is only recommended. For a transfer applicant's college records from overseas it is required, from any NACES member; Simmons notes that many students use WES, CED or The Evaluation Company.
Final exam results alone, such as WACES or Cambridge Assessment scores, do not count as a transcript.
Graduate programs, and a note on notarization
Graduate applicants with a degree earned abroad submit a credential evaluation, course-by-course with grades, together with the official transcript in the original language; if the agency confirms it received the official transcript, a separate one is not needed (graduate international).
The Library and Information Science page for Archives Management goes further and says notarized translations are not acceptable (program page), so for that program do not add notarization to the order.

- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Simmons
Transcripts must come from the school; Simmons does not accept transcripts sent by you or your family (International students). For college and graduate records, the translation also goes to the NACES agency with your documents.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Simmons that means we translate your records; the NACES evaluation for college and graduate records comes from an agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
