How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Roosevelt University asks freshman and graduate international applicants for transcripts sent directly by the school, in English or accompanied by a certified translation, and then reviews them in-house or orders an evaluation at no cost to the applicant; it does not say who must translate.
Roosevelt University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Transfer students instead need an evaluation from ECE, Educational Perspectives, IERF, SpanTran TEC or WES, which is something we do not produce.
Roosevelt at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Roosevelt asks for transcripts "accompanied by a certified translation" and does not restrict who translates (foreign credential evaluation); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Freshmen and graduate applicants: translate, Roosevelt evaluates
For first-year and graduate admission Roosevelt does the evaluation work itself: depending on the country, it reviews your transcripts in-house or requests an official evaluation at no cost to you, and that evaluation is used only for admission, so you will not receive it (Foreign credential evaluation).
What you supply is the transcript, sent directly by your school to admissionforms@roosevelt.edu, in English or with a certified translation, and showing any national examinations you completed.
Because the school sends the transcript, ask how it can include the translation, or send the certified translation yourself and reference the school's official copy.
Transfers: an outside evaluation from a named agency
Transfer students need a Foreign Credential Evaluation from an approved company: ECE, Educational Perspectives, IERF, SpanTran TEC or WES, or possibly another NACES member that requires official transcripts.
The agency sends the evaluation directly to Roosevelt, and Roosevelt may ask for a syllabus when a course equivalent cannot be verified (Foreign credential evaluation).
Each agency sets its translation rule; most accept a professional certified translation, and TEC asks for a translator certified by ATA. See translation for credential evaluation.
Where Roosevelt's pages differ
The international admission requirements page says every student who completed coursework outside the US must submit a Foreign Credential Evaluation.
The foreign credential evaluation page says freshman and graduate students are not required to obtain one, and the same page also tells graduate applicants to request a course-by-course evaluation.
If you are a graduate applicant, ask intladmissions@roosevelt.edu which applies to your program before ordering one.

Uploading the translation to Roosevelt
Transcripts and certified translations go to admissionforms@roosevelt.edu; the school must send the official transcript directly (Foreign credential evaluation). Transfer evaluations are sent by the agency to the same address.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Roosevelt that means we translate your transcripts; the evaluation for transfer students comes from one of the agencies Roosevelt names.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Who can translate my transcripts for Roosevelt?

No. Roosevelt reviews in-house or orders an evaluation at no cost to you (Foreign credential evaluation).
Which agencies does Roosevelt accept for transfer students?
ECE, Educational Perspectives, IERF, SpanTran TEC and WES, and possibly other NACES members that require official transcripts (Foreign credential evaluation).
Do I need an evaluation for study abroad or an IB diploma?
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
