How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Rider asks international applicants for transcripts, mark sheets and exam results that carry the school seal, list courses and grades and are translated to English, and does not say who must translate.
Rider University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Transcripts count as official only when they come from the school, and transfer and graduate applicants who studied at a university abroad also need a NACES course-by-course evaluation, which we do not provide.
Rider at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Rider's international requirements say transcripts must be translated to English and do not restrict who translates (undergraduate requirements, graduate requirements); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Rider requirements in detail
Translation
Transcripts, mark sheets and exam results with the official school seal, translated to English, listing courses and grades (International undergraduate students: how to apply).
Who may translate
Not stated.
Official copies
Official only if sent directly from the school to the Office of Admissions; photocopies of student copies are not accepted (International undergraduate students: how to apply). Graduate: photocopies only when attested by and received from the university (graduate).
Evaluation
Study at a university outside the US: a course-by-course evaluation from any NACES member, such as The Evaluation Company, International Credit Evaluation, Josef Silny or IEE (International undergraduate students: how to apply, graduate).
WAEC
WASSCE results go through the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform to admtranscripts@rider.edu, with your application number (International undergraduate students: how to apply).
Deadlines
Fall: June 15 for undergraduates studying abroad, August 1 in the US; Early Action November 15. Graduate business from abroad: June 1 (International undergraduate students: how to apply, graduate).
Translated, sealed and sent by the school
Rider sets four conditions for a record from abroad: it carries the official school seal, it is translated to English, it lists the courses taken and grades received, and it reaches the Office of Admissions directly from the school; photocopies of student copies are not accepted (undergraduate requirements).
The page does not say who translates or how a separate translation should arrive; giving your certified translation to the school to send with the transcript keeps the record official.
You can follow receipt of each credential on the Be-A-Bronc Applicant Dashboard.
West African applicants share WASSCE results through the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform, using Request For Confirmation and the address admtranscripts@rider.edu (International undergraduate students: how to apply).
Transfer and graduate applicants: NACES course-by-course
Transfers who attended a college outside the US, and graduate applicants whose degree is from abroad, need a course-by-course evaluation from any NACES member.
The undergraduate page names The Evaluation Company and International Credit Evaluation; the graduate page names The Evaluation Company, Josef Silny & Associates and International Education Evaluation (International undergraduate students: how to apply, International graduate students: how to apply).
Graduate study also requires a bachelor's degree and sixteen years of formal education; post-graduate diplomas without a bachelor's are not considered.
Each agency sets its translation rule. WES, a NACES member, accepts a professional translation (WES); Josef Silny accepts outside translators who are ATA-certified in the US (Josef Silny).

Uploading the translation to Rider
Transcripts and their translations reach the Office of Admissions from your school; for graduate study, attested photocopies come from the university (International undergraduate students: how to apply, International graduate students: how to apply).
For a course-by-course evaluation, the translation goes to the NACES agency with your records, and the agency sends its report to Rider.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Rider that means we translate your records; we cannot send them as your school, and the NACES course-by-course evaluation comes from an agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Rider require my transcripts to be translated?
Yes, transcripts must be translated to English and list courses and grades; Rider does not say who must translate (International undergraduate students: how to apply).
Can I send my own copy of the transcript?
No. Transcripts are official only when they come directly from the school to the Office of Admissions (International undergraduate students: how to apply).
Which evaluation do graduate applicants need?
A course-by-course evaluation from any NACES member, such as TEC, Josef Silny or IEE (International graduate students: how to apply).
What is the deadline if I study outside the US?
June 15 for a fall start, or November 15 for Early Action (International undergraduate students: how to apply).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
