How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Quinnipiac University asks students who want credit for coursework at a foreign university for a credit evaluation in English from a NACES or AICE member, and tells international transfer applicants to send their transcripts to WES; it publishes no translation rule of its own.
Quinnipiac's evaluation agencies, such as WES, ECE, IEE and Scholaro, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
You order the translation first and send it to the agency with your records; the evaluation itself is something we do not produce.
Quinnipiac at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Quinnipiac asks for a credit evaluation from a NACES or AICE member (international admissions), and WES accepts a certified translation from a professional translation service (WES rule), as do ECE, IEE and Scholaro; SpanTran (The Evaluation Company) asks for an ATA-certified translator. Early Decision I November 1, Early Action November 15, Early Decision II January 15, Regular Decision February 1 (Undergraduate international admissions).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
Quinnipiac lists five preferred vendors, and each sets its own translation rule. WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not accept translations by applicants.
IEE does not accept translations by the client, a notary or a translator who is not certified. Scholaro accepts documents in the original language or with a certified translation.
ECE lets applicants prepare word-for-word translations themselves, or translates internally for an $85 waiver.
SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, wants an outside translator certified by the American Translators Association. If you choose it, eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA for the languages ATA certifies: ask for a free quote and say it is for The Evaluation Company.
When Quinnipiac needs the evaluation
The international admissions page ties the evaluation to credit: anyone who wants academic credit for coursework taken at a foreign university submits the credit evaluation (Undergraduate international admissions).
Transfer applicants are told to send their official transcripts straight to WES for certification and evaluation of credits and to have WES send the results to Quinnipiac; transfer admissions has a dedicated transcript evaluator (transfer).
Graduate business catalog pages describe the WES report as "certified translations" of the transcripts, prepared by WES or another organization Quinnipiac approves (MBA catalog).
In practice WES still asks you for a professional translation of any record not in English before it writes the report, so translate first.

Uploading the translation to Quinnipiac
The translation goes to the agency with your records; the agency sends the evaluation to Quinnipiac (Transfer to Quinnipiac). Application forms and the Certification of Finances may be scanned and emailed (Undergraduate international admissions).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Quinnipiac that means we translate your records; the credit evaluation is ordered by you from a NACES or AICE member such as WES.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
