Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from Ozarks Tech's public pages (sources).

Ozarks Technical Community College admits international students only with translated transcripts that an evaluation service has evaluated, giving course equivalencies and a US GPA of at least 2.0; it lists SpanTran, ECE, Education Evaluators International, GCE and IACEI, and WES for transfers.

Ozarks Tech's evaluation agencies, such as ECE and WES, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary, while SpanTran, GCE and IACEI ask for a translator certified by ATA, which eVerbary provides on request. The evaluation is something we do not produce.

Sample translation: a Mexican high school certificate

This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Spanish sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice

  • CCT, CURP and the state abbreviation Jal. are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, so an evaluator does not have to look up a Mexican acronym.
  • Courtesy and degree titles (C., Mtra., Lic.) are kept as printed and explained once; names keep both surnames in place.
  • Grades stay on the 5-to-10 scale the certificate prints, with its minimum passing grade. Converting them is the evaluator's job.
  • The six semesters keep the certificate's two columns, and the seal, signatures and QR code are described in brackets where they appear.

Ozarks Tech requirements in detail

Translation

Transcripts must be translated and then evaluated and transcribed by a service (First-time international students).

Who may translate

Set by the agency: ECE accepts any literal translation (ECE), WES a professional translator (WES); SpanTran, GCE and IACEI want ATA-certified translators.

Agencies listed

SpanTran (custom OTC application, discount), ECE, Education Evaluators International, GCE and IACEI; the transfer page adds WES; the list is not exhaustive (First-time international students, transfer).

What the report must show

Course equivalencies for all foreign courses and a US GPA, with a cumulative 2.0 required (First-time international students).

Deadlines

Spring: applications September 1 to November 30. Fall: March 1 to June 30 (First-time international students).

Processing

Five to ten business days once complete; the I-20 follows admission (First-time international students).

Contact

International Programs, Springfield campus: ipo@otc.edu, (417) 447-6941 (Transferring international students).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

Ozarks Tech calls them transcription services: agencies that provide course equivalencies for every foreign course and a US GPA.

ECE accepts complete, literal translations in the same format as the original, including the applicant's own, and sells an $85 waiver. WES, listed for transfers, requires a professional translator.

SpanTran (The Evaluation Company), which has a discounted OTC application, GCE and IACEI all want translations by a translator certified by the American Translators Association.

If you use one of those three, ask eVerbary for a translator individually certified by ATA; for ECE or WES a standard certified translation is enough.

No review without the evaluated transcript

Applications are processed only after these translated and evaluated transcripts arrive, and a cumulative equivalent of a 2.0 GPA is required of all applicants (First-time international students).

Credits from US colleges must also be transferred for consideration. Because spring applications close on November 30 and fall on June 30, order the translation early enough for the agency to finish.

Need a certified translation for Ozarks Tech?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • Secondary school transcripts and diploma
  • College or university transcripts
  • Bank statement, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Ozarks Tech

  • The translation goes to the evaluation agency with your records; upload the other documents to the online application and pay the processing fee before submitting (First-time international students).

If you need a translator certified by ATA

Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:

$34.95 per page

Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian

$44.95 per page

Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian

To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Ozarks Tech, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).

We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.

For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Ozarks Tech that means we translate your transcripts for the agency; the evaluation with course equivalencies and a US GPA is ordered by you.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
