Millersville University requires every credential in both its original language and English, and says translations should come from your high school or university, an academic advisor, an EducationUSA advisor, or a translator certified by the American Translators Association (ATA).
Millersville accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary when the translator is individually certified by ATA, which eVerbary provides on request.
Millersville evaluates foreign credentials in-house, so a NACES or AICE evaluation is optional unless staff ask for one; its graduate page asks non-US bachelor's holders for a course-by-course evaluation.

Millersville requirements in detail
Translation
All credentials are required in the original language and in English; the undergraduate checklist asks for certified English translations (Transcript requirements, checklist).
Who may translate
Your high school or university, an academic advisor, an EducationUSA advisor, or an ATA-certified translator (Transcript requirements).
Evaluation (undergraduate)
Not required; staff evaluate credentials in-house and may ask for a NACES or AICE evaluation case by case (Transcript requirements, NACES/AICE guide).
Evaluation (graduate)
A non-US bachelor's degree needs a course-by-course evaluation from a recognized service, such as WES ICAP (graduate).
Official copies
Emailed by your school or by EducationUSA, a NACES or an AICE company, or mailed; notarization by a non-academic entity is not enough (Transcript requirements).
Original and English, translated by a named source
Millersville says every credential it receives is required in both its original language and English, and that translations should come from your high school or university, your academic advisor, an EducationUSA advisor, or an ATA-certified translator; it notes that many NACES and AICE companies also translate (Transcript requirements).
The undergraduate checklist calls these certified English translations, and asks for official documents or notarized, attested copies, never your only original (Undergraduate application checklist).
For a professional translation, order one from a translator individually certified by ATA.
Official transcripts reach the international office by email from faculty or staff at your school, or from a recognized attesting organization such as EducationUSA or a NACES or AICE company, or by mail; a notarization by a non-academic entity is not adequate (Transcript requirements).
In-house evaluation, and where the graduate page differs
The international office articulates credentials in-house, following AACRAO EDGE and TAICEP practices: you submit a clear copy of your transcripts or consolidated marksheets in the original language and in English, and staff establish the US equivalency and GPA (Transcript requirements).
A NACES or AICE evaluation is not required, but Millersville may request one case by case, at your cost; if you supply one, it must be accompanied by the transcripts used to produce it (AICE and NACES endorsed companies).
The graduate admissions page says applicants with a bachelor's degree from a non-US institution must send their credentials to a recognized evaluation service for a course-by-course evaluation, naming WES and its ICAP service; applicants not using ICAP send an official transcript in the native language with an English translation in a sealed envelope.
The international office page says all applicants can have an in-house evaluation. We have not resolved this; graduate applicants should ask InternationalAdmissions@Millersville.edu before ordering.

Uploading the translation to Millersville
Send clear copies of each credential in the original language and English to International Admissions; official records come from your school or an attesting organization (Transcript requirements).
Graduate applicants using WES ICAP send the translation to WES with their records; WES delivers the transcripts and evaluation to Millersville (International graduate applicants).
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Millersville, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Millersville that means we provide the ATA-certified translation on request; any NACES or AICE evaluation comes from the agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Who can translate my documents for Millersville?
Your school, an academic advisor, an EducationUSA advisor or an ATA-certified translator (Transcript requirements).
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for Millersville?
Yes, on request: ask for a free quote and note that Millersville requires an ATA-certified translator. ATA certifies Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian ($34.95 per page) and Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian ($44.95 per page) into English, and no other languages.
Do I need a WES or ECE evaluation for Millersville?
Not for undergraduate admission: staff evaluate in-house and request an evaluation only case by case (AICE and NACES endorsed companies).
Is a notarized copy enough?
Not if a non-academic entity notarized it; official copies come from your school or an attesting organization (Transcript requirements).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
