How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

Golden Gate University admits international applicants to its F-1 eligible master's programs on unofficial transcripts and certified English translations, and asks for official transcripts before the add/drop date of the first term; it does not say who must translate.

Golden Gate University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. GGU also lists credential evaluation options (SpanTran, IEE, IERF, ECE and WES), which we do not produce.

GGU at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

GGU's international admissions page says applicants "may be admitted using unofficial transcripts and certified English translations" and names no translator (international students); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Translations decide admission, originals follow

Golden Gate University lets international applicants be admitted on unofficial transcripts and certified English translations, and only after admission asks for official transcripts, which must arrive before the add/drop date of the first term (International students).

That makes the translation the document GGU's admission readers actually work from: translate your bachelor's transcripts and degree certificate in full, with the grading scale, so the office can confirm the degree is equivalent to a US bachelor's from a recognized institution.

F-1 sponsorship is limited to a few graduate programs: the MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, the MS in Business Analytics, the MBA with STEM or AI concentrations, and an MS in Artificial Intelligence starting in spring 2027 (International students).

If you choose a credential evaluation

GGU lists five options for credential evaluations: SpanTran, IEE, IERF, ECE and WES (International students).

Each agency sets its own translation rule; WES, for example, wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator and not by the applicant.

A certified translation ordered for GGU can usually be sent to WES, ECE, IERF or IEE as well.

GGU also accepts several alternatives to an English test, such as a bachelor's or master's from an English-speaking country or seven years of professional experience there (International students).

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to GGU

  • Upload unofficial transcripts and their certified translations with your application, and contact GGU's international admissions office with questions; send official transcripts before the first term's add/drop date (International students).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For GGU that means we translate your records; an evaluation from one of the listed agencies, if you use one, is ordered by you.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
