How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Eastern Connecticut State University asks international applicants to send all transcripts translated to English, and does not say who must translate.

Eastern Connecticut State University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

Transcripts not in English or from outside the US also need a course-by-course evaluation from any active NACES member, with SpanTran (The Evaluation Company) recommended, and that evaluation is something we do not provide.

Eastern at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Eastern's international application page says all transcripts must be translated to English, without restricting who translates (international applicants); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 26, 2026.

Evaluation

A course-by-course evaluation from any active NACES member if transcripts are not in English or are from outside the US; SpanTran has a custom, discounted Eastern application (International applicants).

Deadlines

A translation and an evaluation for every year

Eastern asks for official transcripts for each year of secondary school and of any college or university study, says all transcripts must be translated to English, and lets you email every document to admissions (international applicants).

Because the rule covers each year, translate every annual transcript or mark sheet, not only the final certificate.

When transcripts are not in English or come from outside the US, Eastern also asks for a course-by-course evaluation, and accepts it from any active NACES member.

It recommends SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, whose outside translations must come from an ATA-certified translator; eVerbary can assign one on request through a free quote. WES, which Eastern also mentions, accepts a professional translation.

Timing

Applications and all documents are due by July 15 for fall and December 15 for spring (International applicants). The evaluation agency needs the translation before it starts, so order the translation first and send the same certified copy to Eastern and to the agency.

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Eastern

  • Email the translations with your documents to admissions@easternct.edu; the NACES agency sends its evaluation (International applicants).

  • eVerbary delivers a signed PDF; we can also email the translation directly to the admissions office on request.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Eastern that means we translate your transcripts; the course-by-course NACES evaluation is ordered by you from the agency.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
