UA Cossatot says international high school and college transcripts must be certified and translated into English to be considered, and does not say who must translate them.
Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
International students also send their transcripts through an accredited evaluation service, such as WES or IEE, before submitting them, and pay for both; that evaluation is something we do not provide.
UA Cossatot at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
UA Cossatot's admission steps say international transcripts must be certified and translated into English to be considered, without restricting who translates (apply and enroll); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

UA Cossatot requirements in detail
Translation
International high school and college transcripts must be certified and translated into English to be considered (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
Who may translate
Not stated (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
Evaluation
International students send official transcripts and admission documents through an accredited evaluation service before submitting them; examples given are NACES members, WES and IEE (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
Cost
The student pays for the transcript evaluation and the translation (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
Course descriptions
Translations of course descriptions or syllabi help when UA Cossatot has no equivalency for your school in its transfer tables (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
Bachelor's degree holders
With an official transcript showing a bachelor's degree or higher, the high school transcript may be waived (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
Status
Acceptance stays "pending" until all required admission documents arrive (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
One sentence, two kinds of transcript
UA Cossatot repeats the same rule in two places on its apply and enroll page: under the official high school transcript and under official college transcripts, international transcripts must be certified and translated into English to be considered.
If you finished high school abroad and studied at a university, both sets need a certified translation. A bachelor's degree or higher, shown on an official college transcript, can replace the high school transcript altogether.
After you apply, an admissions advisor from the De Queen, Ashdown or Nashville campus contacts you, and a letter lists any missing documents, your student ID, your major and your program advisor. Until everything arrives, your acceptance stays pending.
International students: an evaluation service before UA Cossatot
International students send their official transcripts and admission documents through an accredited evaluation service before submitting them to UA Cossatot, and pay for both the evaluation and the translation (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
The page names NACES members, World Education Services and International Education Evaluations as examples.
WES wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not translate (WES); IEE accepts a certified translator's word-for-word translation, not one by the applicant, and also sells its own (IEE).
For transfer credit, UA Cossatot says translations of course descriptions or syllabi are helpful when it has no articulation equivalencies with your former school (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll). Translating them together with the transcript avoids a second round.

Uploading the translation to UA Cossatot
Apply online, then send the transcripts with their certified translations to UA Cossatot Admissions; the admissions advisor who contacts you confirms what is still missing (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
International students send the records and translations to the evaluation service first, then submit them to UA Cossatot (UA Cossatot: apply and enroll).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For UA Cossatot that means we translate your transcripts and course descriptions; the evaluation for international students comes from an agency such as WES or IEE.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
