How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
The College of Southern Idaho says high school transcripts not in English must be translated before they are accepted, and does not say who must translate them.
The College of Southern Idaho accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
CSI does not evaluate foreign college transcripts itself and reminds applicants that a translation is not an evaluation: college records need a report from a NACES member, preferably The Evaluation Company, which we do not provide.
CSI at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
CSI's international application page says high school transcripts not in English "will need to be translated" and names no translator type (international application); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that translation. Policy checked on October 26, 2026.

CSI requirements in detail
Translation
High school transcripts not in English must be translated before they are accepted (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
Who may translate
Not stated.
College transcripts
No in-house evaluation of foreign college transcripts; evaluation by a NACES member only (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
Recommended agency
The Evaluation Company, through a custom CSI application at a discounted rate (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
Financial proof
An official bank statement sent directly by the bank, showing six months of funds in US dollars (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
English proficiency
TOEFL 55 iBT or equivalent, or shown through the evaluation of a transcript (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
High school: a translation; college: an evaluation
CSI draws a clear line (international application). For high school, it wants official transcripts, translated if they are not in English, and reads them itself.
For college study abroad, it does not evaluate foreign transcripts in-house and adds, in its own words, that translation is not an equivalent to evaluation: college records must go through a credential evaluation service that is a NACES member. See high school diploma translation.
The Evaluation Company and other NACES agencies
CSI recommends The Evaluation Company, which built a custom application for CSI students so they choose the right report at a discount (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
TEC accepts outside translations only from a translator certified by the American Translators Association, or translates in-house; eVerbary can assign an ATA-certified translator on request through a free quote.
Other NACES members are accepted too: WES, for example, takes a word-for-word translation by a professional service, not the applicant's own.
Need a certified translation for CSI?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcripts and diploma
- College or university transcripts, for the NACES evaluation
- Bank statement (sent directly by the bank)
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to CSI
Send official high school transcripts with their translation to CSI's international office; eVerbary can email the translation directly to the office on request.
College transcripts and their translation go to the NACES agency, which reports to CSI (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
At CSI that means the evaluation of foreign college transcripts comes from The Evaluation Company or another NACES member; we translate high school and college records.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does CSI require my high school transcript to be translated?
Yes, if it is not in English, before CSI accepts it (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply). CSI does not say who must translate.
Will CSI evaluate my foreign college transcript?
No. CSI does not evaluate foreign college transcripts in-house; a NACES member must (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
Is a translation enough for my college transcript?
No. CSI says translation is not an equivalent to evaluation (College of Southern Idaho: international students, apply).
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for The Evaluation Company?
Yes, on request through a free quote, for Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian ($34.95 per page) or Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian ($44.95 per page). ATA certifies no other languages into English.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
