Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College asks international applicants for an official English translation of transcripts from high school and every college attended; it does not say who must translate.
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
To receive transfer credit, college transcripts must also be evaluated by a NACES member, and ABAC recommends SpanTran; that evaluation is something we do not provide.
ABAC at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
ABAC's international applicant steps ask for an official English translation of high school and college transcripts and do not restrict who makes it (international applicants); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. ABAC requirements in detail
Translation
An official English translation of transcripts from high school and all colleges attended (International applicants).
Who may translate
Not stated (International applicants).
Evaluation
For transfer credit, college transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES member; SpanTran is recommended and offers ABAC a custom, discounted application (International applicants).
Who counts as international
Anyone born outside the US or its territories, or who completed secondary school or any college coursework outside them (International applicants).
Financial
The Certificate of Financial Support form and bank statements for the past six months (International applicants).
Other items
TOEFL, IELTS, ACT or SAT scores, the Certificate of Immunization and the $20 application fee (International applicants).
Who has to follow these steps
ABAC's international page applies to more people than visa students: anyone born outside the United States or its territories, or who completed secondary education or took college coursework outside them (international applicants).
For a resident with a foreign high school diploma, the step is the same: an official English translation of the high school transcripts and of every college transcript.
Translate every year of the transcript, the diploma and the grading legend, since ABAC reads the translation itself for admission; the evaluation is only asked for when you want college credit transferred.
Transfer credit and SpanTran
To receive credit for college coursework, the college transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES member, and SpanTran is ABAC's recommended service with a custom application at a discount (International applicants).
SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, accepts outside translations only from translators certified by the American Translators Association; eVerbary can assign one on request (ask for a free quote and say it is for The Evaluation Company).
Other NACES members such as WES accept a translation from a professional service.
Need a certified translation for ABAC?

Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcripts and diploma
- College or university transcripts
- Bank statements for the past six months, if not in English
- Grading scale or legend printed with the transcripts
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to ABAC
Send the official translations with your documents to ABAC Admissions, 2802 Moore Highway, Tifton, GA 31793, or admissions@abac.edu (International applicants).
eVerbary delivers a signed PDF; on request we can also email the translation directly to the admissions office.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For ABAC that means we translate your transcripts and bank statements; the NACES evaluation for transfer credit is ordered by you from SpanTran or another member.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
What translation does ABAC require?
An official English translation of transcripts from high school and every college attended; it does not say who makes it (International applicants). A certified translation from eVerbary qualifies.
Do I need a credential evaluation for ABAC?
For transfer credit, yes: college transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES member (International applicants).
I was born abroad but live in Georgia. Am I an international applicant?
ABAC's page counts anyone born outside the US or educated outside it (International applicants); ask Admissions which steps apply to your status.
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for SpanTran?
Yes, on request. Ask for a free quote and say it is for The Evaluation Company (SpanTran) for ABAC. ATA certifies Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian ($34.95 per page) and Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian ($44.95 per page) into English; no other languages.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
