A Moroccan marriage act (عقد الزواج) is drawn up by two adouls, notaries of the family court, and approved by the judge of the family section (قاضي التوثيق), whose homologation is written on the act. It records the spouses, the dower (sadaq), the witnesses and any conditions, and is usually in Arabic only. It is translated in full, including the adouls' and the judge's certifications.
