No separate paternity certificate since 2020
Kyrgyzstan's 2020 Law on Civil Status Acts stopped treating the establishment of paternity as a registration of its own. The parents' details, the father's included, are entered in the child's birth record, so the document that shows paternity today is normally the birth certificate naming the father, together with a court decision where a court established it.
Families with older papers may hold a certificate of establishment of paternity issued as a separate registry document before 2020, often on a Soviet or Russian form. It remains a valid record and we translate it like any other — see our Russian page.
Court decisions and DNA evidence
Where paternity was disputed, a court decided it. The decision names the evidence relied on, often a DNA examination, and carries a note of the date it took legal effect. We translate the whole decision, including that note, because it shows the ruling is final. See our Kyrgyz expert report page.
What USCIS needs for a child born outside marriage depends on the petition. Ask the receiving office, then send us the birth certificate, decision and any expert report together. See our Kyrgyz page.
What USCIS requires
Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), a foreign-language document must be accompanied by a complete English translation and the translator's certification that it is accurate. Every seal, stamp and marginal note is part of the document, so every one is translated.
State agencies set their own rules — see government agencies — and what our certification states is on this page.
How it works
Upload a photo or a scan of your document, pick the language pair and check out online. You never have to mail originals: a legible copy is all we need.
A professional human translator, never machine translation, translates the document word for word and mirrors the layout of the original. Every certified translation ships with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy that meets the requirements of USCIS, courts and universities.
Your translation is delivered digitally, usually within 24 hours for documents of one to three pages, and same-day delivery is available. If anything needs adjusting, we revise it.
Certified vs. standard translation
A certified translation is a word-for-word translation accompanied by a signed statement attesting to its accuracy and completeness. It is what official bodies require: USCIS, courts, universities and government agencies. Certified translations are $24.95 per page, where one sheet of your document is one page, with no word cap.
A standard translation is the same professional human translation without the certificate, for when you only need to understand the content or for internal or informal use. It is billed at the same $24.95 per page with no word cap.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I get a paternity certificate?
For recent cases there is no separate one: paternity appears in the birth record, and the birth certificate naming the father is the usual proof.
My father was added years after I was born.
Then your birth record was amended, and you may hold certificates issued before and after. Send both; we translate each as printed.
Do you translate DNA results?
Yes, whether they are a court-ordered expert opinion or a laboratory report, in full.
