Separación de cuerpos, and its conversion
Honduras provides separación de cuerpos, which suspends cohabitation while the marriage continues, and after a period either spouse may ask for it to be converted into divorce.
The Family Code sets out the grounds for each. We name the instrument and reproduce the article it rests on, because the article states what was decided.
Where the record sits
Honduras keeps its civil registry at the RNP, the Registro Nacional de las Personas, and the dissolution is recorded against the marriage entry with its tomo, folio and acta references.
A certification issued afterwards carries the annotation. We transcribe all of the references rather than summarising.
Reposición, and what it is not
Honduran files sometimes contain a reposición — the lawful reconstruction of a registry entry lost or destroyed — which reads like a record created after the fact.

The RNP re-enrolled nationally and issued a new identity document with new numbering, so a file may carry two formats for one person. That is the re-enrolment rather than a discrepancy.
