SUNY Delhi asks international applicants whose records are not in English for an exactly worded and certified translation; it strongly encourages WES or TEC but does not require them.
SUNY Delhi accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. College transcripts from outside the US must also be evaluated by a credential evaluation service, which we do not provide.
SUNY Delhi at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Delhi's how-to-apply page asks for "an exactly worded and certified translation" and only encourages WES or TEC (how to apply); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 26, 2026.

SUNY Delhi requirements in detail
Translation
An exactly worded and certified translation of records not in English (International students: how to apply).
Who may translate
Not restricted; WES or TEC strongly encouraged (International students: how to apply).
What the record shows
A seal, stamp or signature of a school or government official, in the original language, with all courses, grades, examinations and diplomas.
First-year process
Self-report the high school transcript to apply; admitted students send the official transcript (International students: how to apply).
College records from abroad
Submitted in English and evaluated by a service such as WES or TEC (International students: how to apply).
Transfers
With fewer than 24 credits, an official translated secondary transcript as well (International students: how to apply).
Self-report to apply, certified translation to enroll
Delhi lets first-year applicants self-report their high school transcript; once admitted, they send an official one, bearing the seal, stamp or signature of a school or government official, in the original language, showing all courses, grades, examinations and diplomas (International students: how to apply).
If it is not in English, you provide "an exactly worded and certified translation", word for word and certified. Delhi strongly encourages WES or TEC, but the rule itself is about the translation, not the provider.
College work from abroad: an evaluation
Transcripts from colleges or universities outside the US go in English and are evaluated by a credential evaluation service, such as WES or TEC, and official transcripts are forwarded directly to the Enrollment Services Office (International students: how to apply).
Transfers with fewer than 24 credits also supply an official translated secondary transcript.
The agency sets its translation rule: WES takes a professional translation (WES); TEC takes outside translations only from ATA-certified translators (TEC), which eVerbary can arrange on request.
Need a certified translation for SUNY Delhi?

Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcript with courses, grades and exams
- Diplomas and national examination certificates
- College or university transcripts, for the evaluation
- Financial documents dated within six months, if not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to SUNY Delhi
Apply through the SUNY Application or Common App ($50); Delhi then emails a login to upload documents, and admitted students have official transcripts forwarded directly to Enrollment Services (International students: how to apply).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Delhi that means we translate your transcripts and certificates; the evaluation of college records from abroad is ordered by you from WES, TEC or another service.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of translation does SUNY Delhi want?
An exactly worded and certified translation (International students: how to apply).
Must I use WES or TEC to translate?
No. Delhi strongly encourages them but does not require them (International students: how to apply); a certified translation from eVerbary qualifies.
Do I need my official transcript to apply?
First-year applicants self-report; admitted students send the official transcript (International students: how to apply).
I am transferring with 12 credits. What do I add?
An official translated secondary school transcript (International students: how to apply).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
