How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Lesley University asks undergraduate and graduate applicants whose transcript is not in English to provide a notarized translation of it; graduate applicants with a degree from abroad also need a document-by-document evaluation (course-by-course for Expressive Therapies) from WES, CED, ECE or GCE.
Lesley University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. Notarization can be added to the order for $34.90; the evaluation is something we do not provide.
Lesley at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Lesley's international page asks for a notarized translation of a transcript not in English, without saying who makes it (international students); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary, notarized, meets that rule. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Lesley requirements in detail
Translation
A notarized translation of any transcript not in English (How to apply: international students, undergraduate).
Who may translate
Not stated; the translation must be notarized.
Undergraduate transcripts
Original documents from your school, unopened with a seal on the envelope, or electronically through Parchment or JST (How to apply: international students).
Graduate evaluation
Independent evaluation for US bachelor's equivalency: document-by-document, or course-by-course for Expressive Therapies master's programs (How to apply: international students).
Agencies
World Education Services, Center for Educational Documentation, Educational Credential Evaluators, Global Credential Evaluators (How to apply: international students).
Unofficial transcripts
Acceptable for graduate applicants when the agency received the official ones (How to apply: international students).
A notarized translation at every level
Lesley uses the same words for undergraduate and graduate applicants: if your transcript is not in English, provide a notarized translation of it (international students).
The education programs repeat it alongside proof of English proficiency (education programs).
Lesley does not say who must translate, so a certified translation from a professional service, notarized, fits the rule; eVerbary adds notarization at checkout for $34.90 per order.
Graduate evaluation: which kind to order
Graduate applicants with a degree from outside the US need an independent evaluation showing US bachelor's equivalency.
The default is document-by-document; Expressive Therapies master's programs require course-by-course (How to apply: international students). Order the type your program needs from WES, CED, ECE or Global Credential Evaluators.
If the agency received your official transcripts, an unofficial copy is enough for Lesley's transcript requirement.
Note that Global Credential Evaluators accepts only ATA-certified translators; eVerbary can assign one on request through a free quote.

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Lesley
Graduate transcripts go to appstatus@lesley.edu or by mail to Graduate Admissions, 29 Everett Street, Cambridge; undergraduate transcripts come from your school (How to apply: international students). Ask the office how to submit the notarized translation; we can email it to admissions on request.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Lesley that means we translate and notarize your transcripts; the graduate evaluation comes from WES, CED, ECE or GCE.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
