How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

Kishwaukee College asks international applicants to send official copies of their evaluated high school and college transcripts, with the evaluation made by ECE, ACEI or WES; foreign transfer credit goes through ECE or WES.

Kish's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

You order the translation first and send it to the agency with your records; the evaluation is something we do not produce.

Only two agencies for foreign transfer credit.

Kish requirements in detail

Translation

No rule of its own for admission; Kish wants official copies of evaluated transcripts (Apply to Kish).

Who may translate

Set by the evaluation agency; see below.

Evaluation (admission)

High school and college transcripts evaluated by ECE, ACEI or WES (Apply to Kish).

Transfer credit

Foreign transfer credits "translated and evaluated" by ECE or WES; questions go to the Admissions Analyst in Student Services (Apply to Kish).

Deadlines

From abroad: fall June 15, spring November 15. Transfers and F-1 students in the US: July 1 and December 1 (Apply to Kish).

Documents

Everything submitted becomes Kish's property and is not returned (Apply to Kish).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

WES wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency, and does not accept translations by applicants.

ECE accepts any complete, literal translation in the same format as the original, including your own, or translates internally for an $85 waiver. ACEI is stricter: in the US the translator must be ATA-certified.

If you choose ACEI, ask eVerbary for a free quote for an ATA-certified translator and say it is for ACEI.

Where Kish's wording differs from the agencies

Kish's page says foreign transfer credits must be "translated and evaluated" by ECE or WES (Apply to Kish).

WES, however, says it does not translate documents (WES), and ECE translates only internally, for its report, under the paid waiver (ECE).

In practice you send the agency a translation along with your records, and the agency writes the evaluation. If you are unsure, ask the Admissions Analyst in the Student Services Office before ordering.

Need a certified translation for Kish?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • High school transcripts and diploma
  • College or university transcripts and degree certificates
  • Original bank statement, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Kish

  • The translation goes to ECE, ACEI or WES with your records; you then send Kish official copies of the evaluated transcripts (Apply to Kish).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Kish that means we translate your records; the evaluation is ordered by you from ECE, ACEI or WES.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Which evaluation agency should I use for Kishwaukee?

ECE, ACEI or WES for admission; ECE or WES for transfer credit (Apply to Kish). Choosing ECE or WES covers both.

Will WES translate my transcripts for Kish?

No. WES says it does not translate documents and wants a translation from a professional translator (WES).

Can I translate my own transcripts?

For ECE, yes, if complete and word for word (ECE). WES and ACEI do not accept translations by applicants.

When are the deadlines?

June 15 for fall and November 15 for spring from abroad; July 1 and December 1 for transfers and F-1 students in the US (Apply to Kish).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
