What the evaluation companies ask for the translation
FCSA, in Austin, Angelo State's preferred service, accepts certified translations from most professional agencies, and lets you or a relative translate Spanish documents.
WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not accept applicants' own. ECE accepts complete, literal translations, including your own, or translates internally for an $85 waiver.
Some US companies accept only ATA-certified translators; ask eVerbary for a free quote if yours does.
Foreign college credit is optional, and final
Angelo State leaves it to you whether to submit foreign college transcripts for admission and transfer credit; once its staff evaluate the credit, you cannot remove those credits from your record (transcripts).
If you do submit them, the evaluation must list semester credit hours and letter grades, and Angelo State estimates about $175 for a full evaluation (Transcripts for international students).
All transcripts become the property of the university and are not returned, so send official copies, not originals you need to keep.
