The record the licensing authority keeps
A driving record is issued by whoever licenses drivers in your country, and it states how long you have held a licence, which categories it covers, and whether anything has been recorded against it. It goes by many names — a certificado de antecedentes de tránsito, a relevé d'information, an extract from a national driver register — and it is not the same document as the letter from your insurer, which is about claims rather than licensing.
People need it for two quite different reasons: a state licensing process that asks how long you have been driving, and an insurer rating a driver with no US history.
Licence categories are not translated into US classes
European category B, category A2, a Japanese ordinary licence, a Latin American class B1 — none of these has an exact US equivalent, and the mapping is not a translator's to make. We render the category as the document states it, keep the original code, and translate the description of what it permits. A DMV decides what that corresponds to under its own rules; a few states have reciprocity arrangements with particular countries and most do not.
The same care applies to anything recorded against the licence: points, infractions, suspensions and their dates are translated exactly, in the scale the issuing country uses. A points system where points are good is not the same as one where points are bad, and the translation makes clear which one the document is describing.

Send the complete record, every page, including the ones that say nothing was found — a clean record is a finding, and an office that receives only the pages with entries on them has no way to know it was clean.

A certified translation is a word-for-word translation accompanied by a signed statement attesting to its accuracy and completeness. It is what official bodies require: USCIS, courts, universities and government agencies. Certified translations are $24.95 per page, where a page is up to 250 words.
A standard translation is for business or personal use where certification is not needed, such as CVs, client intake forms or marketing material, and is billed at $0.10 per word.

Is my category B licence the same as a US class D?
That is for the DMV to determine, not for us. We translate the category as your document states it and describe what it permits, without asserting a US equivalent.
Will my state accept a translated driving record?
Requirements are set state by state, so ask the DMV before you order. What we can say is that a record they cannot read will not be considered at all.
Is this the same as a no-claims letter from my insurer?
No. A driving record comes from the licensing authority; a no-claims or experience letter comes from your insurer and is about claims history.
