Notice, reconciliation, then effect
A Bangladeshi divorce follows the same shape as Pakistan's: a talaq or a khula, written notice to the chairman of the union parishad, a reconciliation period, and only then effect. The registrar issues a divorce certificate, and a talaqnama records the pronouncement.
